KIDS LOVE CAMP EBERHART!

Sending your kids to Camp EB gives them the opportunity to learn and grow in an extraordinary environment.  The skills learned during their time at camp will be used throughout their lives and they will never forget the time they spend here.  We hear it from campers old and new, there is no place like Camp Eberhart in all the world.

What started in 1909 with a boy's dream and a small group of eager young men who pitched their tents on the shores of Corey Lake has thrived and held sacred their traditions so that they survive nearly 100 years later.

Great friends forever...Summer campers - depending on their age, experience and interest - can participate our week-long Traditional Resident Camp, Three-Day Resident Camp, Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Camp, a four-week program for young adults and our very popular Equestrian Camping programs.

TRADITIONAL RESIDENT CAMP
Our traditional sleepover camp includes activities like swimming, archery, hiking, astronomy, crafts and cabin group adventures, plus the options to pursue special skill classes like waterskiing and horseback riding. Traditional campers are divided by age into their cabins. Campers choose activities that interest  them and spend time learning about and becoming proficient in them.  Typically, campers continue to up their skill levels each summer. In addition, each cabin has a few of its own special events and programs. All cabins share in the excitement of our traditional camping program.

THREE-DAY RESIDENT CAMP
A short-term exposure to Resident Camp for the first-time camper (ages 7-10). Campers attend camp beginning with our regular Sunday registration through Wednesday evening. Program participation will consist of regular camp activities and specialty programs available at the full week price. Campers will be housed with children their own age and the cabin groups will have a mixture of three-day participants and regular campers. Campers who are enjoying their stay and wish to finish out the entire week can do so (a small additional fee is necessary).

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING CAMP
(Completion of sophomore year of high school is required)
This special three-week program is designed to help young adults develop skills needed to become effective leaders and potential summer camp staff members. CITs are under the direction of the camp's Leadership Development Director and senior cabin leaders, receiving training in working with children and learning program activity skills. CITs gain practical experience by assisting staff with camp activities and programs. Campers wishing to attend should complete an application for acceptance into the program.

EQUESTRIAN CAMP
The Equestrian Program is an integral part of life at Camp Eberhart. Two special horseback riding programs are offered:

Horseback Riding (Ages 9-16): This program is offered to boys and girls of any riding skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) who are registered in our Traditional Resident Camp. Participants in this program spend 90 minutes a day at the camp stables enjoying riding lessons, trail rides and learning about horses.

Horsemasters (Ages 10-16): This is an advanced-level program for those boys and girls who love horses so much that they want to spend most of their time at the stables. They enjoy 3 hours a day of riding lessons, trail rides and the opportunity to feed, groom and saddle their own mounts. This program is highlighted by a weekly Saturday morning horse show. Participants in this program must already be able to ride proficiently at a walk and trot.

ASTROCAMP
AstroCamp is one of this NATION'S premier programs for young campers. The unique AstroCamp program is designed for boys and girls ages 10 and up. The mind of a 10-year-old is curious and eager to discover. They are ready to begin the great adventure of exploring the universe with the endurance to stay up after dark, stargazing and telescoping. 10 is a great AGE to start, and ASTRO Camp is the best place to start this subject learning!
