YMCA CAMP EBERHART
100TH ANNIVERSARY
LAZY W AND COOP RAFFLE
The 100th
Anniversary of YMCA Camp Eberhart will be celebrated on June 18, 19, 20, and 21
2009. There will be several options for
housing on and off camp for this celebration. The High/Low Road cabins, Morris Lodge, and
Leighton Lodge will be used for our guests. There will be information provided
to the alumni on various rentals that are available on Corey Lake.
There are two other special options that will be made available, The Coop and
the Lazy W. The Coop is the former residence of George Cooper and is located
next to benches above the Low Road. The Lazy W is located next to the Camp Director’s
residence on the Low Road and on the water. The Lazy W was made from two of the
original cabins from the water front from many, many, many years ago. Both of
these cabins are now available for rent on a weekly basis for you and your
family to enjoy. If you are interested in renting one please contact the camp
office.
For the 100th
Anniversary we will be raffling off both cabins for the week of the
celebration. The winning individual, in each drawing, will have use of the cabin
from June 14, 2009 @ 2:00 pm to 6-21-09 @ 11:00am. The Lazy W will accommodate
up to six individuals and the Coop will accommodate up to three individuals.
The cabins come with all you will need for a comfortable stay and they are
equipped with a bathroom, a shower, and a full kitchen.
Tickets for
the raffle may be purchased though the Camp Eberhart
office. You may send your check, payable to YMCA Camp Eberhart, to 10481 Camp Eberhart Road Three Rivers, MI 49093. Please write “Coop Raffle 100th”
or “Lazy Raffle 100th” on the memo line of your check. You must
specify the number of tickets purchased for each cabin, your name, phone
number, and e-mail. You will be notified either by phone or e-mail of your
ticket numbers. The tickets for the Coop will be $5.00 each or six tickets for
$25.00. The tickets for the Lazy W will be $10.00 each or six tickets for
$50.00. This is a fund raising project and all proceeds will be used to
maintain and improve each of the cabins. The buildings have an important place
in Camp Eberhart
history and a place in the next 100 years of Camp Eberhart.
The drawing
will take place after the 1st of the year and a notice will be
posted on the camp website, www.campeb.org,
to advise the drawing date and subsequent winner.
